Who we are

Generations – International School, or Gerações – Escola Internacional, or 傳承國際學校, is a modern and innovative educational project, resulting in a Portuguese-inspired international educational institution, supported by two fundamental pillars:

Trilingual education

- English as first language, Portuguese and Chinese;
- Knowledge of the respective cultures and worlds, particularly with regard to Portuguese-speaking countries;
- Customized Portuguese program developed by the school’s qualified staff;
- Multiple international partnerships in the fields of the arts, and the English and Chinese languages.

An appropriate balance between the excellence of learning and teaching process and the healthy development of students

Truly holistic perspective, with a strong focus on wellbeing;
Focus on the best international curricular and methodologies, namely through the integration into the SISU SCHOOLS network marked by the rigor and innovation of the Finnish curriculum and teaching methodologies;
Adapted to the educational requirements of its students with each student having an Individual Student Plan;
In full respect of the guidelines emanating from the Macau Special Administrative Region (MSAR) Government.

To defend the preservation of nature, learning about “green energy”, recycling and the circular economy

Promoting responsible, informed, knowledgeable and reflective citizenship, defending peace and stability, progress and sustainable economic and social development

Encouraging the entrepreneurial spirit of our students, preparing them for practical life

Preparing students for further studies in higher education institutions in English, Portuguese and Chinese, among others

Nurture in our students their love for the homeland and their sense of belonging to the Society of which they are part of, in solidarity with all its participants

Generations proposes to help create citizens with an open mind, who are creative and supportive, capable of engaging in continuous and flexible learning. The aim is to lead them to their future journey of unique discoveries, not only for the sake of their personal sense of achievement, but also collectively, as instruments for achieving the objectives of peace, cooperation and development.

Founding Organisation

GENERATIONS was founded by the Association of the Sino-Luso International College of Macau (ACSLIM), a non-profit legal entity registered in the MSAR, whose main objectives focus on:

1) The development and operation of GENERATIONS;

2) In the promotion of Macao’s cultural values;

3) On the interconnection with institutions that pursue educational interests, including languages, culture and sports.
